Description
CAROLINE is an extremely oversized and lightweight cardigan. It is knitted in stockinette stitch, double knitting, and ribbing, from top to bottom and seamlessly. The double knitting edging is constructed at the same time as the body. The last step entails picking up stitches around the armholes to knit the sleeves in the round. Caroline is entirely knitted with yarn leftovers (two strands of mohair and silk leftovers held together), and the stripes are improvised as you go. The pattern is customizable in length, and you choose the ease you want to give it based on the garment’s finished bust circumference vs. your bust circumference. I hope you’ll have fun with this easy and enjoyable pattern!
SKILLS LEVEL
Beginners (the provisional cast-on is the only technical difficulty of the project)
SIZES
The cardigan is offered in 5 sizes: 1(2)3(4)5 for a finished bust circumference of the cardigan 100(116)136(156)176 cm or 39.5(45.75)53.5(61.5)69.5 inches. The intended ease for this design is +30-50cm or +11.8-19.7 inches compared to your actual bust circumference. For reference, I wear my Caroline cardigan with +45cm or +17.75 inches of positive ease.

The cardigan is knitted with two strands of lace weight yarn held together. I used Silk Mohair leftovers.
