Description
DESCRIPTION
The ALEX mittens are knit in the round, from the cuff up. They begin with a 2/1 ribbing and are enhanced with a simple, Nordic-inspired stranded colorwork pattern. The thumb is first shaped using a gusset, then the stitches are put on hold while the top of the mitten is knit and finally picked up to finish the thumb. Each size is fully adjustable in length to best fit all hand shapes. Made with sock yarn, they are thin, warm, and wear resistant. Unisex and endlessly customizable with different colour choices, they will suit the whole family.
LEVEL
Intermediate (knowing how to knit socks in the round) and accessible to stranded colorwork beginners.
